HRAssistant

Description:

The Human Resources Assistant will aid in areas of human resources, including recruiting, on boarding, separation, benefits, administration, employee relations and training. This position will report to the VP of Human Resources.

The daily responsibilities of the HR Assistant will include but not be limited to: Post new jobs, schedule interviews, send response letters, new hire orientations, office tours and maintaining applicant tracking and employee databases.

The HR Assistant will prepare new employee and separation packets, order employee materials, and handle employment verification requests. They will handle the set-up of new hire workstations including phone and voicemail, office supplies, keys, business cards and coordinate computer set-up through IT.  The HR Assistant will also, coordinate employee exits, including the closing of accounts through IT, collect all company property (keys, cards, laptop).

They will ensure compliance with the appropriate governmental and legal regulatory organizations.

Supplemental duties include working with the Senior Accountants to audit monthly employee benefit costs, providing reception coverage as needed, handling the general troubleshooting and maintenance of the telephone system, ensuring that new phone lists are updated and circulated as needed, coordinate equipment needs and coordinating the maintenance of all phones.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must have an understanding of HR best practices
  • Extremely organized, detail oriented, proactive, and able to prioritize
  • Fast, accurate, analytical, creative, unreserved, engaging and flexible
  • Must have impeccable verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent relationship skills
  • Experience working with Mac and PC preferred; Proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with HR information systems is highly preferred
  • BA degree in HR or related field required
  • 2+ years experience in Human Resources required
