This Friday, as one of our trusty strategists (thanks Doug!) was heading out on an early flight to focus groups, he happened to catch a live segment being done by the Today Show on the rapidly successful service called Groupon.
Back in September, Sterling Brands released our annual Cultural Pulse, highlighting the hottest cultural trends for the upcoming year and the ways they will affect your brand marketing and design. Trend number 2 in our presentation cited Groupons while highlighting the increase in consumer haggling, a behavior usually reserved for garage sales and flea markets, as a force to be reckoned with in retail spaces across the board for 2010.
We’re excited to see that the consumer has indeed backed up our prediction and the fight for a better price is ON!
